Dr. Lenz joined Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants in August 2002 following a long affiliation with a multispecialty group in our community. Already a respected cardiologist and friend, his expertise was welcomed by his colleagues at CCC.
Dr. Lenz was born in Bolivia where he completed medical school at the university in La Paz, Bolivia, followed by his internship and residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA and St. Francis General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. His fellowship in cardiology was completed at The Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Dr. Lenz sees patients at Morton Plant Hospital, Mease Hospitals, and is currently Chief of Staff at Largo Medical Center where he has served the hospital in various leadership positions over the years, including serving as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory for eleven years. Dr. Lenz is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Lenz has presented many lectures on invasive and non-invasive cardiology. A strong advocate of preventive cardiology, Dr. Lenz has also given lectures on hypertension, cholesterol management, and smoking and the effects on heart disease.
Dr. Lenz is available to see patients at the Clearwater and Bardmoor offices.
