Personal History
Born in Louisiana, Dr. Hazlitt graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, and received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
Dr. Hazlitt completed his internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. His cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowships were completed at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, where he also did clinical research in cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Hazlitt joined Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants in July 1994, and is board certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, as well as a member of the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Hazlitt has held teaching positions at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, as well as the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Hazlitt is available to see patients at the Clearwater and Countryside offices.
